Memorials

A memorial is a lasting symbol of remembrance and provides a dignified and fitting tribute to a loved one.  It provides a focal point and a place to visit, lay flowers, and reflect on happy times.

This section takes you through the different options available for either burial or cremation memorials, to help you choose the most appropriate memorial for your loved one.

We work closely with our BRAMM Accredited Stonemasons who are experienced craftsmen, designing and preparing memorials to the highest quality and standard.  Our stonemasons can produce a memorial to the exact specifications in our brochure, alternatively if you would like a memorial which isn't featured in our brochure, we will be happy to check if our masons can produce it for you, providing it meets with either churchyard or cemetery regulations.

Regulations

There are many regulations governing the type of memorials that can be erected in a churchyard or cemetery.  For example, in some areas you cannot have kerbing around the grave space and in churchyards, granite, marble, open books and crosses are not permitted.  The appropriate burial authority generally governs the size of a memorial.  Please allow us to check these regulations for you before you make your final choice.

Designs and Inscriptions

If you choose a design for a memorial, the size and position of the design, as well as the size of the memorial will determine the number of inscriptions that can be engraved.  Our letter cutters will decide upon the best position for a design and inscription, unless you choose otherwise.  You will be provided with a proof layout prior to processing your memorial.

Please be aware that with natural stone, there will be slight variations in the colour & pattern from those shown in our brochure.  Our stonemasons only use the highest quality materials.

Additional Inscriptions and Memorial Cleaning

We offer a comprehensive memorial service, including renovation to existing memorials and repair to damaged stones or lettering.  We can add additional inscriptions on to existing memorials and we also offer a cleaning service.  Please ask us for further information about these services.

Photo Plaques

We offer a selection of ceramic photo plaques, which can be provided with or without a frame.
