About Us

We are an independent family Funeral Directors who have been serving the local community for at least 200 years. Our office is in Cambridge Street (pictured right) in the heart of Aylesbury within walking distance of the Registrars office in Walton Street. We are open every weekday from 8.30 am to 5.00pm and from 9.00am to 12.00 noon on a Saturday.

Whilst most matters are dealt with by our staff in the office during the week, we can be contacted 24 hours a day still on our normal telephone number - 01296 482041, which is diverted to one of our staff for out of hours emergencies.

In addition we have our Chapel of Rest (pictured left), Workshops and Garages located at Little Kimble, in the rural setting of the pleasant Buckinghamshire countryside.

The Chapel of Rest enables people to see the Deceased once more for a final farewell. Families seem to find the ease of parking, coupled with the quiet serenity of our Chapel of Rest a comfort at this sad and distressing time.

Usually a viewing can be arranged for members of the family when making the Funeral arrangements, or a simple phone call to our office allows people to fix a time to see their loved ones, either in private or together with other members of the family.

In a modern world of big business and corporate companies it is sometimes difficult to maintain the personal touch and give the service that was once expected from everyone. As an independent family business, still owned and operated by the same family as in the 19th and 20th centuries, we try to preserve that standard that was set by our predecessors.

Our staff are all local residents who know the local traditions and are familiar with the Aylesbury Churches and Clergy. It helps us to help you when you are arranging a funeral service for someone special and who is dear to you.

At times like this it is sometimes difficult to absorb all the choices and options open to families. We hope our sensitive and gentle guidance at this time gives you and your family the kind and considerate assistance to get you through this trying time.

It is our hope that instead of being a time of mourning for your loss, that we can help you make the funeral service a time of celebration of the life of a special person.
